Activities Program -  Spring Sprout Sale!

The Activities Program is an in-house program that helps our retired client employees continue to enjoy a higher quality of Cement Birdslife. Members of this group interact with the public on a daily basis through field trips to events and places, and through activities which allow them to maintain or learn new skills.

To welcome spring this year the members of the Activity Program will be growing and selling vegetable starts. The plants are expected to be ready for pick up in late April or early May. You can select Beef Stake Tomatoes, Roma Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Summer Squash, or Zucchini Squash. The clients will also be making garden stepping stones embossed with flowers, hand painted cement birds which will also be for sale. Later in the spring (around Mothers Day) they will be putting together flower boxes (color spots) as they did last year. You can reserve your plants by contacting Debbie at 503.390.7355.

This project gives our clients an opportunity to grow and nurture plants and gain new skills. Money raised from this project will go toward a special activity for the Client Employees in the Activities Group. If you are stopping by our office, please review our display in the lobby. For further information on plant starts, stepping stones, cement birds or color spots, please contact Debbie at 503.390.7355.

NEW DIRECTIONS

Rockwest is always looking in new directions for products and services to better serve you!

Pet Crate Cuddler Upgrade.

Rockwest is currently testing an updated version of the Pet Crate Cuddler. The pad now being sold has micro-fleece on one side with rip-stop nylon on the other side. While this makes a very durable pad that is easy to maintain, we think we can do better. The pad being tested at a local kennel is reversible, with rip-stop nylon on one side and a leather like material on the other side. This will make the pad even more durable, comfortable for the pet, and remain easy to clean. For questions concerning this product please contact Craig at 503.390.7355.

Rockwest Patient Positioning Equipment.

Positioning DeviceRockwest makes Patient Positioning Equipment for use in the home, clinics, physical therapy, hospitals, and long term treatment facilities. These items are also known as Linear Position Pillows, Medical Positioners, Medical Positioning Equipment, and Pressure Management Devices. Most manufacturers offer only standard shapes such as Ankle Rolls and Incline Wedges. In addition to the standard shapes, Rockwest can custom build a device by altering the design to meet the size and shape required. All positioning equipment is available with a moisture resistant vinyl outer covering. Please visit our web page on Positioning Equipment for further details.

Wilderness First Aid Manual

In addition to the standard first aid booklet currently offered by Rockwest, we will be offering "The Wilderness First Aid Manual", a reference guide to backcountry first aid by William W. Forgey, M.D. This informative guide was written in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the Wilderness Medical Society and is small enough to fit comfortably into a pocket or backpack. It is a welcome addition to any Emergency Preparedness Kit and useful for campers, hikers, and professionals working in the field. This item will be made available in the very near future.
